Gillian Walsh, 23, lived in her family home until she was 20. It's a
semi-detached house on a housing estate in Sligo, not far from her
fiancé's family shop.
It's about as far removed from her current lifestyle as the original
auburn, curly-haired Gillian is to the sleek, impeccably groomed
Gucci wearing blonde of today.
In her early teens she was an unrecognisable teenager, possessed of
all the style of an early Chelsea Clinton: matted curls, cheap tops,
pale foundation and an over-fondness for frosted lipstick and blue
mascara.
Gillian first stepped out with Shane 11 years ago when they were both
starring in a local version of the musical, Grease. Three years ago,
they resumed their relationship after Westlife's hit Swear It Again
went to number one.
And Gillian who has just finished a course in business studies at
Sligo RTC has began a complete and enthusiastic personal makeover.
`Shane absolutely dotes on Gillian. He adores her', says a friend of
the couple. 'He is very generous with his money and there is nothing
he likes more than spending his money on Gillian. He loves his
designer clothes and has introduced Gillian to them as well.'
On Valentine's Day last year, he surprised her with a 56,800-euro
fire engine red BMW 330 injection coupe. A short while later, it was
returned for a BMW X5 jeep worth 92,770 euro.
Gillian works part time in the Morgan fashion shop that Shane opened
with his older sister Mairead, in Sligo and wears a lot of the high-
street store's clothes -despite her now new found taste for Gucci
and her job leaves her plenty of time to fly around the world to be
with her fiancé while he's on tour.
She has attended 50 of her fiancé's last 60 concerts, where she stood
proudly in the wings, watching the groupies drool over her well-built
lover
After spending years apart, Gillian is anxious that she and Shane are
never separated for too long.
In August, they spent two weeks together in a luxury resort in
Mexico. Later, Shane flew Gillian to Dubai before Christmas for
another holiday.
He fulfilled her every wish when he went down on bended knee on the
beach of their five-star hotel and asked to marry her.
The couple, who a few weeks ago moved into a luxury six-bed roomed
mansion in Sligo, next door to the three-storey mansion Shane bought
for his parents, are planning on tying the knot next December.

Never! Either we're Westlife or we're not. If anyone of us want to
start a solo carrier, he has to quit, and then the band is gonna
split up. But nobody wants that. We're all in a fantastic band and
we're enjoying it.
Do you have a girlfriend right now?
No, but i’ve had and i’ve always managed to keep them secret. If I
don’t have a really serious relationship then I don’t see a reason
why I should share it with the rest of the world. It’s not always
that easy, but you have to be smart. For example holding hands in
nightclubs is really stupid – then there’s gonna be loads of
pictures
of you in the papers the next day.

HERE is the world’s biggest boy-band swapping it all to become unknown singing cowboys.
Westlife’s Shane Filan, Kian Egan, Mark Feehily and Nicky Byrne donned Stetsons, leather boots and checked shirts after jetting out to the country and western mecca of Nashville, Tennessee, for a BBC1 telly special.
In the show, Swapping Notes, the Irish lads had just a day to learn to sing C&W before they had to convince an audience at Nashville’s famous Wild Horse Saloon that they were a genuine country act.

But they did have one of the best teachers available, getting tips from legend Kenny Rogers, 64.
They learned some of his classic hits — and even tried their hand at line dancing before having to take to the stage in front of a crowd who had no idea who the lads were.
We won’t spoil it by telling you how they got on but Shane, 23, said: “Performing with Kenny Rogers was a dream come true. Thankfully, he was very patient with us but we picked things up quickly anyway.”

Kian, 22, added: “When it was suggested we become country and western singers for the day I thought it was a joke. We’re known for our white suits and performing sitting on stools, not cowboy hats and checked shirts.
“But Nashville was amazing. There is so much history and so many famous names have played there.”

Nicky, 24, admitted: “The hardest thing was learning the line dance steps, it wasn’t exactly what we are used to.”
And Mark, 22, said: “Performing at the Wild Horse Saloon was amazing, I reckon it was one of the most memorable experiences of my career so far.”
The band’s Bryan McFadden, 22, missed last month’s trip as wife Kerry was giving birth to Lily Sue, a sister for 17-month-old Molly.
A second Swapping Notes show will follow opera singer Russell Watson as he tries to become a rock star.
Swapping Notes will be on BBC1 in April. Westlife’s new single, Tonight, is out on March 17.
“We don’t care what goes into the newspapers and what’s said about us. We know what’s going on with us and that’s the most important thing.” That was the emphatic message from Westlife’s Kian Egan who has this week strongly denied that the band are splitting up. Huge controversy has surrounded the band this week, as national newspapers reported that the band was on the verge of splitting up, due to the departure of tour manager Anto Byrne. A local source close to the band said this week: “I am really shocked at the news. Anto did everything for them. He looked after security and everything they needed when they went on tour.” But despite Anto’s departure, the band said they are stronger than ever. Singer Shane Filan said: “We are working hard to promote our new single Tonight which is out on St Patrick’s Day. We are also preparing for our world tour which kicks off in Cardiff on April 13. This summer, we will be recording a new album.” The limelight focused primarily on these two Sligo members, and rumours of a huge rift between the two over the Anto affair were rife. These have been strongly denied. Kian said: “We are all really good friends and know each other a long time. “The energy between the five of us is still there. We know we have to make a big impact with the next album. Fans needn’t be worried, as we are not splitting up. Everyone is happy in the band. “This is Westlife and we are not going to go anywhere yet. “People don’t really know what’s going on. “It came to a stage in our career when we’ve had the greatest hits album out, and people are saying Westlife are going to go. “But we are very focused and always open with each other. I think we can go on for another three or four years, as long as we keep our heads.”
The rumours ignited last week when the band sacked their tour manager. And a record company insider was quoted saying they were "falling apart at the seams".
But Kian reckons there have been so many rumours about them splitting, the fans should know not to believe them by now!
And even though they are going to have a new album on the shop shelves in November, the boys still think people will say they are on the verge of breaking up.

Shane said: "They expect us up to break up all the time - but we keep bouncing back with a number one single or a number one album."
The lads are so used to gossip, they just get on with their music and try to ignore what the press say.
And they hope the fans do that too.
But Bryan joked, when they do actually split up people probably won't believe them now!

Back on ... couple want to rekindle romance they enjoyed in 2002
ATOMIC KITTEN beauty LIZ McCLARNON has rekindled her romance with Blue star LEE RYAN.
The pair got back together after meeting up at a Brits party — and later spent the night together.
Liz and Lee have now told pals they are head over heels in love again — just over a year after they first dated.
And the pair cemented their refound love by shacking up in bed at a five-star hotel in Oxford over the weekend.
The reunion comes just two weeks after Liz’s short-term affair with WESTLIFE star KIAN EGAN came to an abrupt end.
Liz told pals: “I have always loved Lee but have held back my feelings.
“We are great mates and get on amazingly together. It was only after seeing Kian for a while I realised how much I missed being with Lee.
“We’re going to make a real go of it this time. He’s a laugh, I just hope our work pressures won’t split us up this time.”
Liz and Lee first started dating in January last year but their on-off relationship ended after a few months because work kept them apart.
Liverpudlian Liz has been linked with a number of other pop stars but she recently admitted she had a fling with heart-throb Kian.
But he was devastated when she ended their relationship just days after he had treated her to red roses and champagne for Valentine’s Day.
The end was in sight for Kian when Liz bumped into old flame Lee at the Brits party thrown by record label EMI at London’s swanky Sanderson Hotel.
The pair spent hours chatting in the VIP area and snuck away together in the early hours of Friday morning.
Then they spent a romantic weekend at the exclusive Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons hotel in Oxford.
They locked themselves away in a £600-a-night suite at the Michelin-starred manor house owned by top chef RAYMOND BLANC.
The special suite takes up two floors and features a dining room, vaulted-beam ceilings and Turkish carpets.
Fellow guests at the hotel said the couple only left their room to share an intimate dinner before disappearing back to their suite.
One said: “They were all over each other. They looked very much in love and didn’t try to hide it.
“They were holding hands and kissing and didn’t care who was looking.”

Yo soy ahora la última de la lista que vas a encontrar y donde (si sigues adelante) vas a estar tú al repetir el mensaje, dejándome antepenúltimo. Te deseo suerte, ya que también parte de esta suerte va a ser para mí.
Esto es lo que le pasó a un amigo:
"Días atrás, cuando "navegaba" por Internet, se me apareció un artículo similar a este que decía que uno puede ganar miles de dólares en pocas semanas con una inversión de $6.00!. Enseguida pensé, "Oh no! otra estafa más?", pero como la mayoría de nosotros, la curiosidad pudo más, y seguíleyendo. Y seguía diciendo que Ud. enviara $1.00 a cada uno de los 6 hombres y direcciones mencionados en este artículo.
Entonces Ud. anota su nombre y dirección al final de la lista reemplazando al #6, y envíe o ponga este artículo a por lo menos 200 "newsgroups"(Hay miles de estos en todo el mundo).
Ningún truco, eso fue todo. La gran diferencia entre este sistema y otros es que Usted tiene una lista de 6 en vez de 5... Esto significa que su promedio de ganancia será aproximadamente 15 veces mayor!!! Después de pensarlo una y otra vez, y consultar con unos amigos primero, decidí probarlo.
!! Entonces invertí mis $6.00 ......IMAGINENSE QUE!!!...a los 7 días, empecé a recibir dinero por correo!!!. Estaba sorprendido! todavía pensaba esto terminará enseguida, y no pensé más en otra cosa. Pero el dinero seguía llegando. En mi primera semana hice unos $20.00 a $30.00 dólares. Para el final de la segunda semana tenía un total de más de $300 !!!!! En la tercera semana recibí más de $1000 y todavía seguía llegando más. Esta es mi cuarta semana ya hice un total de mas de $3000 y esto sigue llegando más rápidamente, yo sigo consiguiendo "Newsgroups"). Esto se puso serio!!!! Todo esto realmente valió la inversión de $6.00 y 6 estampillas. Me gastaba más que esto en sorteos y loterías!! Permítanme explicarles como funciona esto y lo más importante el por qué funciona...también, Ud. asegúrese de imprimir una copia de este artículo AHORA, para poder sacar toda la información a medida que lo necesite.
El proceso es muy fácil y consiste en 3 pasos sencillos:
PASO No. 1: Obtenga 6 hojas de papel y escriba en cada una de ellas:
"FAVOR DE INCLUIRME EN SU LISTA DE CORRESPONDENCIA O E-MAIL".
Ahora consiga 6 billetes de US$1.00 dólar (o su equivalente en la moneda de su país) e introduzca cada dólar en un sobre con la hoja de manera que el billete no se vea a través del sobre!! MEJOR PONERLO ENCERRADO EN UN PAPEL DE COLOR OSCURO PARA PREVENIR ROBOS DE CORRESPONDENCIA.
Ahora Ud. debería tener 6 sobres sellados y en cada uno de ellos un papel con la frase mencionada, su nombre y dirección, y un billete de $1.00 dólar. Lo que Ud. está haciendo con esto es crear un "servicio" y eso hace que esto sea ABSOLUTAMENTE LEGAL!!.

PASO NO. 2: Ahora elimine el #1 (probablemente ya este contando sus miles de dólares) de la lista de arriba y mueva los otros nombres un número para arriba (el #6 se convierte en #5, el #5 se convierte en #4, Etc.) y agregue SU NOMBRE y dirección como el #6 en la lista.

No.2* Abra un archivo "notepad" (bloc de notas) y lleve el cursor arriba de la página en blanco.Presione "edit" (edición) y del menú seleccione "paste"(pegar). Ahora tendrá esta carta en el "notepad" y podrá agregar su nombre y dirección en el lugar #6 siguiendo las instrucciones de más arriba.
No.3* Grave esta carta en su nuevo archivo del notepad como un .txt file. Y cada vez que quiera cambiar algo ya lo puede hacer.
PARA LOS QUE MANEJAN NETSCAPE
No.4* Dentro del programa Netscape, vaya a la "ventana" titulada :Window" y seleccione "netscapeNews". Entonces elija del menú "Options", seleccione "Show" all Newsgroups". En segundos una lista de todos los "Newsgroups" de su "server" aparecerá. Haga click en cualquier newsgroup. De este newsgroup haga click debajo de "TO NEWS", el cual debería estar arriba, en el extremo izquierdo de la página de newsgroups. Esto le llevará a la caja de mensajes.
No.5* Llene este espacio. Este será el título que verán todos cuando recorran por la lista de un grupo en particular.
No.6* Marque el contenido completo del .txt file y copie usando la misma técnica anterior. Regrese al Newsgroup "TO NEWS" y Ud. está creando y empastando esta carta dentro de su programa o "posting".
No.7* Presione "send" que esta en la parte superior izquierda. Y UD. HA FINALIZADO SU PRIMER LANZAMIENTO!...FELICIDADES!!! .
LOS QUE USAN INTERNET EXPLORER
PASO No. 4: Vaya al Newsgroups y seleccione "Post an Article.
PASO No. 5: Cargue el artículo.
PASO No. 6: Repita el No.6* mas arriba.
PASO No. 7: Presione el botón "Post".
ES TODO!. Todo lo que tiene que hacer es meterse en diferentes Newsgroups" y empastarlos, cuando ya tenga práctica, solo le tomará unos 30 segundos por cada newsgroup!
**RECUERDE, CUANTO MAS NEWSGROUPS CONSIGA, MAS RESPUESTAS (Y DINERO) RECIBIRA!! PERO DEBE DE ENTRAR EN POR LO MENOS 200** YA ESTA!!!.... Ud. Estará recibiendo dinero de todo el mundo, de lugares que ni conoce y en unos pocos días!.
Eventualmente querrá rentar un P.O. Box por la cantidad de sobres que irá recibiendo. Si prefiere usar sobrenombres, puede crear un nombre toda vez que el cartero entregue donde debe. **ASEGURESE DE QUE TODAS LAS DIRECCIONES ESTEN CORRECTAS
Ahora el POR QUÉ?, de todo esto:
De 200 enviados, digamos que recibo solo 5 respuestas (bajísimo ejemplo). Entonces hice $5.00 con mi nombre en la posición #6 de esta carta. Ahora, cada uno de las 5 personas que ya me enviaron los $1.00 también hacen un mínimo 200 newsgroups, cada uno con mi nombre en el #5 de la lista y solo responden 5 personas a cada uno de los 5 originales, esto hace $25.00 mas que yo recibo, ahora estas 25 personas pone un mínimo de 200 Newsgroups con mi nombre en el #4 y sólo se recibe 5 respuesta de cada uno. Estaría haciendo otros $125.00 adicionales. Ahora esta 125 personas ponen sus mínimo de 200 grupos con mi nombre en el #3 y sólo recibe 5 respuestas cada una, yo recibo un adicional de 625.00!. OK, aquí está la parte más divertida, cada una de estas 625 personas ponen sus cartas en otros 200 grupos con mi nombre en el #2 y cada una recibe solo 5 respuestas, esto hace que yo reciba $3,125.00!!!. Estas 3,125 personas enviarán este mensaje a un mínimo de 200 Newsgroups con mi nombre en el #1 y si sólo 5 personas responden de los 200 grupos, estaré recibiendo $15,625.00!!. De una inversión original de $6.00!! mas estampillas. FABULOSO! Y como dije antes, que solo 5 personas respondan muy poca, el promedio real sería 20 o 30 personas!.
Así que pongamos estos números más a calcular. Si solo 15 personas responden, esto hace: en la #6 $15.00 en la #5 $225.00 en la #4 $3,375.00 en la #3 $50,625.00 en la #2 $759,375.00 en la #1 $11,390,625.00 .....si, mas de ONCE MILLONES DE DOLARES!!! Una vez que su nombre ya no está en la lista, saque el último anuncio del Newsgroup y envíe otros $6.00 a los nombres en esa lista, poniendo su nombre en el #6 y repetir todo el proceso. Y empezar a ponerlos en los Newsgroups otra vez. Lo que debe recordar es que miles de personas más, en todo el mundo, se conectan al Internet cada día y leerán estos artículos todos los días.
Así que creo nadie tendría problemas en invertir $6.00 y ver si realmente esto funciona. Algunas personas llegan a pensar..."y si nadie decide contestarme?" Que!! Cual es el chance de que esto pase cuando hay miles y miles de personas honestas (que como nosotros) buscan una manera de tener independencia financiera y pagar cuentas!!!., y están dispuestas a ratar, pues "No hay peor lucha que la que no se hace". Se estima que existen de 20,000 a 50.000 nuevos usuarios TODOS LOS DIAS! (en todo el mundo)
Recuerde de hacer esto en forma CORRECTA, LIMPIA Y HONESTAMENTE y funcionará con toda seguridad. Solamente tiene que ser honesto. Asegúrese de imprimir esta carta AHORA, Trate de mantener la lista de todos los que les envían dinero y siempre fíjese en los Newsgroups y vea si todos están participando limpiamente. Recuerde, HONESTIDAD ES EL MEJOR MÉTODO. No necesitas hacer trucos con la idea básica de hacer dinero en esto! BENDICIONES PARA TODOS, y suerte, juguemos limpio y aprovechemos esta hermosa oportunidad de hacer toneladas de dinero con el internet.
No se olvide de empezar a actuar de inmediato ya que cómo mencione antes cada día hay miles de usuarios nuevos.
Dicho sea de paso, si Ud. defrauda a las personas poniendo mensajes con su nombre y no envía ningún dinero a los demás en esa lista, Ud. recibirá casi NADA!.Ya que otros harán lo mismo y nadie mandará ni recibirá dinero. HOLA! Bueno pues la maratón de westlife toca hoy a su fin. Esta última acción no deja de ser menos importante, diría que lo contrario. Se trata de la sección de VÍDEOS 10 de MÚSICA SÍ. A través de los vídeos es la única manera que westlife siga sonando en el programa así que tenemos que votar.
Sólo podéis votar una vez por persona, aunque no sé si puedes inventarte un nombre y votar jiji. Bueno, antes de acabar quiero dar las gracias a tod@sl@s que habéis seguido dia a dia esta maratón de apoyo. Gracias

(Smiles shyly) She understands me, she's a big part of my life now.
She's an average girl who goes to college. I feel like I've a bit of
a normal life now, do ya know what I mean? In the first couple of
years with Westlife, when I see what Nicky and Georgina, and Bryan
and Kerry have, I felt kinda left out. I wasn't sad but it was
like, 'When am I going to find a girl I can fall in love and be happy
with?'
WHERE DID YOU FIND GILLIAN, THEN?
Shane:
I found her in Sligo! Back home! I've travelled the world but there's
no place like home. She's actually Kian's cousin.
DO GEORGINA AND GILLIAN LIKE WESTLIFE'S MUSIC?
Nicky:
Yeah! Georgina wasn't a big fan of Coast To Coast but she loves this
album, she plays it all the time.
Shane:
Gillian loves it too. She actually knows the words! She wasn't a fan
of our music at first, for which I'm actually glad. I've known her
for 10 years, she's been my best friend for the last four years.
That's good because I've known her long enough to trust her.
(Chuckles) The newspapers thought Gillian was dating Kian because she
used to come to our concert, but then didn't know she's actually his
cousin and we are dating! Haha!

WESTLIFE heart throb Shane Filan ran a Valentine's Day errand to deliver a special bouquet to a lucky uptown girl from Calcot.
And 28-year-old Paula Godfrey, of Flodden Drive, could hardly believe her eyes when Shane marched into her office with an armful of roses on Friday afternoon.
Paula, an administrator at Crown Interiors in Woodley, owes her VIP visit to husband Russell, 27, who text messaged radio station 210FM to say why his wife deserved to meet the star.
He said: "I only found out I'd won the day before. I told Paula and she couldn't stop screaming."
Russell's winning text message declared: "I love my wife more than anything, but she loves Westlife more than anything."
Starstruck Paula said: "I couldn't believe it. It's the first time I've met Shane. He's definitely my favourite member of the band.
"I've been a fan for about three years and am going to my second concert in June.
"I've never won anything before in my life. I didn't know what to expect.
" I mean, what do you expect when Shane from Westlife comes into your office?"
And the Irish songster - dressed in a brown leather jacket and woolly hat - also had a treat for some of his young fans who gathered outside the Headley Road company, because he happily posed for pictures and signed autographs
It was a bit of an unlucky morning for Westlife on a recent edition
of SMTV when 2 members of the band were hurt in bizarre accidents.
Shane and Nicky were both involved in incidents during filming for
the show and ended up with cuts bruises!
First Shane got thrown from the Machanical bull in Brian
Dowling's 'buckin Brian game and suffered bruised legs, a grazed arm
and a cut to his head.
Then later during Eat My Goal, Nicky was elbowed in the face by band
mate Mark. The injured star had to be taken off stage where a lucky
member of the show's staff put an ice pack under his eye so that he
could co host CD:UK just an hour later.

Westlife fans will be pleased to here that the band are categorically
not
splitting up.
Westlife are currently working hard promoting their new
single 'Tonight' which
is released on St Patrick's day(17th March,2003) and are preparing
for their
Unbreakable Worldtour which kicks off in Cardiff on 13th April.
Shane Filan said:
"Westlife are definitely not splitting up, we're looking forward to
starting
rehearsals for the tour and we will be recording a brand new album
this summer,

Westlife have sacked their tour manager, Anto Byrne.
But a spokesman has told CBBC Newsround there were no hard feelings.
Anto has sometimes called the sixth member of Westlife because of his
influence in the success of the group - helping them speak to the
press and managing their time.
But a newspaper claimed that Anto was thrown out after rowing with
Kian Egan.
The Mirror even quoted a boss at their record label BMG as saying the
band were "falling apart at the seams."

Liz McClarnon Explains Egan Split
Atomic Kitten star Liz McClarnon says she's sad about her split with
Westlife singer Kian Egan - but that they broke up before they really
got together.
The singer says, "I am very upset, but it's not how you read it.
There was no 'I'm dumping you' on any side."
"We were never madly in love and we were never going out for as long
as everybody said. It just sort of ended before it began." (WENN)

Hola, bueno pues seguimos con esta semana llenita de acciones de apoyo a westlife. La acción de hoy es mandar emails al programa MTV SELECT de mtv está claro. La dirección es select@... ES importante que pongan los videos de westlife a ser posible el de Flying without wings con Christian y el de Tonight, ya que la televisión como tod@s sabemos llega a muchisima gente ok? venga que no es tan difícil mandar un email de tres lineas!
