Dear Jose
Thank you very much for getting back to me.
We are making a show about Extreme Television from around the world. When I say
extreme I mean the unbelievable - shocking game show formats, hidden camera
shows, Dare shows etc.
It may not be as extreme but it still could be of interest. Also there could be
funny game show formats/ dating shows/ hidden camera shows that we could be
interested in. We are after surprising as well as shocking.
If you could make a posting that would be greatly appreciated. It can be a
casual correspondence if that helps - we just need someone who is knowledgeable
about Mexican TV.
We are after a researcher to look into Mexican TV both past and present to find
the most outrageous programmes. It may be that they are aired on more remote
channels? Below are a few examples of the kind of programming we are aiming to
uncover. These are genuine shows:
Top Secret (Peru/Chile)
Hidden camera show. Example - police are arresting a man for a minor offence and
take him off to a warehouse kitted out like a torture chamber, complete with
other "victims" chained to the wall.
Slabo (Russia)
Dare show where middle-aged mums are invited to do things like swing their
daughters by the hair over a balcony on the 3rd floor of a block of flats.
Interception (Russia)
A grand-theft game show, in which a contestant actually steals a car and
attempts to outrun police on the streets of Moscow; if he eludes the police for
35 minutes, he wins the car.
What we require is a researcher to hunt through Mexican TV and find similarly
strange programming. Is this something, you or your company would be able to
help us with? If not do you know of any English speaking researchers who would
be suitable?
Thank you for your time.
Many thanks
Jack
