Dear All,
My apologies for this mass email and I am sure that many of you have already received this petition. The government of Portugal is going to close the ex-IPA library which holds all of the countries reports and archival information for archaeological campaigns and publications in Portugal. Moreover, the collection of publications will moved and is due to be temporarily inaccessible for an undetermined amount of time. This library is one of the best collections of archaeological materials and many researchers come to Portugal just to use this library.
Please take the time to read the petition and sign it. Getting the government's attention is crucial in this matter and they are counting on the archaeological community to remain silent.
