Rock-Art of the World - The World of Rock-Art
- An afternoon of wonders
Rock-art is phenomena that crosses time, places, social classes, gender and even age groups. For some, it represents the essence of being Human and is at the roots of what we call human thinking. Rock-art is, above all, a truly universal heritage, present on all continents, in almost all countries and among almost all human groups. With this series of very short talks, we invite you to take part in a voyage through time and space—from Siberia to Australia. Climbing mountains in the Alps, searching for rocks in Britain, following rivers in Portugal, walking in the Kaatinga of the Nordeste of Brazil, or crossing the vastness of South Africa.
