La Asociación Internacional de Críticos de Arte (AICA), sección México, invita
a las Jornadas de Crítica de Arte, a celebrarse jueves 6 y viernes 7 de
septiembre del año en curso, la sede es el Aula Magna del Centro Nacional de las
Artes.
The Internacional Asociation of Art Critics, (AICA), México section, invites
you to the Jornadas de Crítica de Arte (Days of Art Critic), to celebrate
Thusday 6 and Friday 7 of September of the year on course, the place is the Aula
Magna of National Center for the Arts.

Este evento tiene como objetivos dar a conocer AICA en México a partir de una
de sus tareas principales que es difundir y promover la cultura desde la labor
de la crítica. También deseamos hacer pública a nuestra asociación en su nueva
época. AICA existe en nuestro país desde los años 50’s del siglo XX, con una
historia larga, y a partir del año 2000 hemos estado realizando labor de
reorganización y la representación de la crítica mexicana con notable
participación en eventos internacionales, organizados por AICA-París, la sede de
nuestra institución, www.aica-int.org.
This event has as objectiv to give to know AICA in México from one of the
principal assigments that is to divulge and promote culture from the art critic
work. We also want make public our asociation at its new epoch. AICA exists in
our country from the years 50s of XX century, with a long history, and since the
year 2000 we have been doing a labour of reorganizing and the representation of
mexican critics with great participation in international events, organized by
AICA Paris, our seat institution, www.aica-int.org.

Las Jornadas de Crítica de Arte están dedicadas a Jorge Alberto Manrique, por
ser el principal impulsor y promotor de la renovación de AICA en México;
precisamente fue él quien en el año 2001 presentó una ponencia en el Congreso
Anual Internacional, en Londres. En el 2004 Hugo Covantes hizo lo propio en
Taiwán. En octubre de 2006, en la ciudad de París, Francia, asistieron al
Congreso una delegación mexicana de ocho críticos, y con la ponencia de Gloria
Hernández. En 2007 el Congreso Internacional se llevará a cabo en Sao Paulo,
Brasil, y en representación nuestra sección Argelia Castillo leerá una ponencia.
The Days of Art Critic are dedicated to Jorge Alberto Manrique, for being the
principal instigator and promotor of AICA renovation in México; indeed he was
who in the year 2001, presented a conference in the Anual International
Congress, in London. In 2004 Hugo Covantes did the own thing in Taiwan. In
October of 2006, in the city of Paris, Francia, a Mexican delegation of eight
Art critics attended to the Congress, and with the conference of Gloria
Hernández. In 2007 the International Congress will take place in Sao Paulo,
Brazil, and in representation of our section Argelia Castillo will read one
speech.

Las Jornadas de Crítica de Arte, están integradas por 4 mesas que abordan las
siguientes temáticas: 1. Crítica, teoría y enseñanza, en la que se revisarán las
políticas públicas en materia de cultura artística como ámbito propiciatorio u
hostil, para la enseñanza de la crítica y su ejercicio profesional. 2. Crítica
de arte y periodismo, esta mesa dará cuenta de las diferentes direcciones de
esta disciplina, desde la investigación hasta la práctica cotidiana de reportar
el arte en el ámbito de la difusión cultural en los medios. 3. Crítica de la
crítica cinematográfica, se abordará el tema desde diferentes problemáticas, la
práctica analítica, la opinión del experto investigador académico y la del
crítico periodista. 4. Crítica y performance, será nuestra mesa de cierre del
evento, el propósito de esta mesa es discutir la supuesta posibilidad o
imposibilidad de la crítica de arte para enfrentar el potencial cuestionador del
performance desde su despliegue corporal y desde
su constante proyección conceptual y sensitiva. Cada mesa estará integrada por
cuatro ponentes y un comentarista. La asistencia a este evento es gratuita.
The Days of Art critic, are integrated by 4 tables that approach the following
subjects: 1 Art critic, theory and education, in wich the public politics in
matter of artistic culture as a propicious or hostile environment, for the
education of art critic and its profesional excersice will be review. 2 Art
critic and journalism, this table will show the different directions of this
discipline, from investigation, to the daily practice to report art in the field
of cultural difusion in media. 3. Critic of the cinematographic critic, the
subject will be approach from different problematics, the analytical practice,
the opionion of the expert academic researcher, and the journalist critic. 4.
Critic and performance, will be our closing event table, the intention of this
table is to discuss the supposed possibility or impossibility of the art critic
to face the performance questioning potential from its corporal show and its
constant conceptual an sensitive projection. Four
speakers and one commentator will integrate each table. The assistance to this
event will be free of charge.

La inauguración tendrá lugar el jueves 6 de septiembre a las 10:30, en el Aula
Magna del Centro Nacional de las Artes (Av. Tlalpan y Churubusco) e
inmediatamente después iniciarán los trabajos de la primera mesa. Favor de
consultar el programa.
The inauguration will take place on Thursday 6 of September at 10:30, in the
Aula Magna of National Center for the Arts (Av. Tlalpan and Churubusco) and
inmediately later will initiate the works of the first table. Please, consult
