9th QUALIFYING WORKSHOP 

FOR PROFESSIONALS IN BAMBOO CONSTRUCTIONS

AND VARIOUS BIOARCHITECTURE TECHNIQUES

august 12 - 21, 2005

 

this construction is being built in 4 modules

during each module a training course is organized

 

           

 

 Structure support and framing by ebiobambu
(covered area 260 m2)

 

 MODULE 2 WORKSHOP:

building of the floor with cement and bamboo matress (area 33 m2);

construction of a bamboo tower, and walls using the bamboo "bahareque" technique for the janitor's room;

 3 parallel bamboo crafts workshops:

      a. Bamboo Lamps

                                b. Bamboo Joinery and Bending

                             c. Small Bamboo Crafts

        Fee:

   1.  Ten days participation: US$ 600 developed country / US$ 500 developing country

        Forms of payment: sign-up confirmation by email and payment on the first day of activities

 

         Fee includes:

• practical lessons; 5 theory lectures with image projections; practical lessons in our bamboo propagation camp and a visit to a bamboo meditation pavillion (11mts of free vault)
• daily meals – breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner
• CD with all the course lectures and project diagrams in 3D
• EBIOBAMBU t-shirt
• information booklet, ID card and writing materials

 

          Other conditions:
            - Transportation is not included

            - Hotel is not included,but the night with breakfast is no more then U$ 15 a 20 a night
          - All basic materials and tools used in the practical activities will be supplied by the school, but it is

               recommended to those owning tools to bring them along for a better participation in practical activities

 

 

          Participants will receive the program in details, a map indicating the route to the bamboo farm where the workshop will take

          place as well as information regarding travel options and instructions depending on where from they come from
