MS TITLE: The Shadow of Khan: Anti-Transhumanist Themes in Star Trek

ABSTRACT: While the television show Star Trek and its several spin-offs
are arguably one of the most widely-known visions of a positive future,
at its heart it is hostile to the idea of any alteration of the human
species not connected with the correction of disabilities. As such, it
forms a significant portion of popular-culture arguments against
Transhumanist ideas and goals.
