Thanks very much for your help. Regarding construction of projects, we are providing preference to projects whose construction begins before 1 December 2007. The reason is to make sure that the designs are realistic (not just ideas, but a real project). The construction date was set so that the project is at least close to being constructed when the assessment is made, which means there will not be too many changes in the design. But this is a preference, not an absolute requirement. Projects that are already constructed could also be included.

Dear All
We have received comments from several interested parties that the deadline of 29 June for the expression of interest was difficult to meet, since the May-June period seems to be a very busy one for many design firms. We have therefore decided to extend the deadline from 29 June to 15 September, with the announcement of selected projects extended to 15 October.
This extension will not adversely affect the assessment process that will be carried out by the proponents, since the assessment results are not due until 31 May, 2008.
Please recall that this is not a competition, but rather a process to winnow down potential projects to a manageable number, taking into account location, building type and assessment method.
I have attached an updated promotional announcement with this note, if that is relevant for you.
