Subject: Reminder about SBC08 Call for Proposals
(Blind copies)
Dear All
In May we released a global call for proposals for case studies to be displayed and/or discussed at the 2008 Melbourne World sustainable building conference (www.sb08.org). We then extended the process in response to many comments that we had issued the Call during a particularly busy season.
We now have a deadline for proposals on 15 September, and we hope to obtain many proposals. To help us achieve this goal, it will be very helpful if you can again distribute this revised announcement to your own networks and colleagues.
The attached note provides a website address for the global process application forms, but please note that the SBC08 processes in Canada and USA are separate from other countries. The Canadian process is now closed, and the U.S. application form is available on the USGB website at www.usgbc.org/News/USGBCNewsDetails.aspx?.
If your colleagues are apprehensive about the time required, please remember that the application for should take 30 minutes maximum. More work would of course be needed over the winter to carry out assessments if the proposals are selected and if the proponents wish to go through with the process.
Some of you made translations of the original announcements. If so, please see the revised note for changes in the announcement of the U.S. process.
Thanks again
